Waukesha Cherry Burrell – Model 130 Universal Twin Screw (UTS) I Series, is a sanitary pump for sanitary processes.
Challenge:
Pump a highly elastic processed type of mozzarella cheese without breaking elasticity before packaging
Solution:
The customer supported by SPX installed a Waukesha Cherry-Burrell model UTS-130 twin screw pump on a trial basis, with the main objective of not breaking the elasticity of the product. To achieve this, the pump was intentionally oversized in order to run it at very low rpm and thus prevent water separation.
